Social Behaviour in Microbial Infections
Dr Ashleigh Griffin is a Research Fellow at the department of Zoology, at Pembroke College, Oxford. Dr Griffin was awarded a Fellowship to undertake research understanding social behaviour in microbial infections. The For Women in Science Fellowship enabled her to add a clinical side to her work; to investigate what kind of social strategies are advantageous in populations of bacteria infecting the lungs of cystic fibrosis patients.

She aims to stay in research and win a 10 year Royal Society Fellowship. "I just want to carry on doing what I am doing." In her spare time, she looks after her two small children, Rowan and Ethan.
